NATIONAL INSTITUTION FOR MANAGEMENT OF THE ARCHAELOGICAL SITE OF STOBI
The National Institution Stobi was founded with a Decree of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia on 26.08.2008 (Decision No. 19-992/1) as an independent institution under the Ministry of Culture. It was officially registered on 17.12.2008.
The rights of the site management were transferred to the National Institution Stobi on 28.02.2009 (Decision of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia No. 19-893/1).
The archaeological site of Stobi is ownership of the Republic of Macedonia and it is a site of national interest considered as Protection category I (Decision No. 1038, 27.07.1950 and Decision No. 01-134/1, 21.01.1976 of the Institute for Protection of the Cultural Monuments of the R. of Macedonia).
In the period between 1970 and 1998 the site was in jurisdiction of the National Museum Veles and in 1998 the authorities were transferred to the Institute for Protection of the Cultural Monuments of the R. of Macedonia which is later renamed in National Conservation Centre.
EPHORATE OF ANTIQUITIES OF CILCIS
Business objectives:
α) The scientific research, discovery, preservation, conservation, protection, promotion, display and preservation of antiquities, their exhibition in museums, as well as their participation in exhibitions in Greece and abroad. In addition, the study, planning, management and execution of any archaeological project of maintenance, repair, restoration, restoration, enhancement and configuration of monuments and archaeological sites, as well as their immediate natural or non-environment, the execution of all the above projects on a self-initiative basis and accountable in accordance with the applicable provisions.
b) The care for the scientific study and publication of antiquities, the management of monuments, archaeological sites, museums and collections, spatial responsibility, which belong to the State, participation in international and European programs, the organization and participation in workshops, conferences, seminars and educational activities on issues related to the responsibilities of the Ephorate, as well as the production of conventional and digital publications and educational material.
c) In each Ephorate of Antiquities is formed and operates a scientific plenary, which includes the employees of Branches and Specialties PE and TE, who serve in it under the chairmanship of the Head of. The scientific plenary, which shall meet at least three times a year, shall discuss the action programme, the evaluation of the implementation of the objectives of the service and their possible redefinition.
d) The Ephorates of Antiquities prepare the dossiers for the introduction of issues to the relevant Local Monuments Council and prepare proposals to the relevant Directorates of the Central Service for the introduction of issues to the CAC or the Museum Council, as defined by the legislation in force.
- Administrative work for the handling of the affairs of the Curatorial Department.
- Control of excavation/building permits.
- Supervising and conducting excavations on private plots and on public sector and local government projects, etc.
- Research, recording and conservation of ancient finds.
- Identification and protection of archaeological sites and monuments; - Restoration of archaeological sites and restoration of monuments.
- Inventory and control of private collections.
- Actions relating to the promotion of antiquities in Greece and abroad.
- Provision of facilities to Greek and foreign scientists.
- Organisation of temporary and permanent exhibitions.
- Organisation of educational programmes and cultural events.
- Organization of scientific conferences
- Publication of scientific papers
- Cooperation with Greek and foreign institutions.
- Participation in international projects for the promotion and development of important archaeological sites and monuments.

Cooperazione Internazionale Sud Sud is a no profit association founded in 1985. Since 1989 it has received recognition as non governmental organization (NGO) qualified to promote and to realize cooperation projects in Developing Countries.
CISS is a NGO of solidarity and international co-operation, but in consideration of his presence in an European territory characterised by strong and specific development problems, it also acts with local interventions and projects.
The three main intervention areas of the NGO are:
a) Projects and activities of solidarity and international co-operation
b) Projects and activities of education, formation and awareness
c) Projects and interventions of development to local level
. Until 2012 there were implemented 5 main projects. There were:
•1999 Emergency project for refugees from Kosovo in Macedonia
•2002-2005 Assistance to primary education structures in the ex- provinces of Tetovo, Gevgelija and Valandovo
•2005-2008 “Archeological and touristic valorization of the Roman Forum of Stobi”
•2009-2011 Citizens of Macedonia
•2010-2011 “Cross border local partnerships fighting Human Trafficking in Macedonia, Albania and BiH”
The main donors of the projects are Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Union.
REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND OF CENTRAL MACEDONIA
The Regional Development Fund is responsible for a number of responsibilities, which include:
The management, in accordance with decisions of the regional credit council of the public investment program, public sector entities funding and other legal persons, funds coming from EU programs, other international organizations and other foreign bodies, concerning regional and special developmental programs of the region’s area.
The technical support of the region, particularly in the development of studies and research and implementation programs entrusted to the Fund by the region for more efficient use of resources.
